Expertise and/or fellowship training in a subspecialty area, such as urologic pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, gynecological pathology, or other surgical pathology subspecialty area is desirable. The department at Pitt County Memorial Hospital accessions approximately 21,000 surgical and 8,000 cytology cases including 1,200 fine needle aspirates annually. The candidate will be expected to participate in clinical service responsibilities, and may be involved in the department's education and research programs. The applicant must qualify for a faculty appointment at East Carolina University. Academic rank and salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience. The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
